“Sustainable Business Round Table: Localism”
MSU Detroit Center
1:00PM – 4:00PM
When it comes to providing for life’s essentials, such as food, clothing, shelter and meaningful work, how will we organize ourselves in the future? How will we create social capital, do less harm to nature and grow a local, diverse and resilient economy – all at the same time?
Please join SMSBF for its “Sustainable Business Round Table: Localism” event as we explore how localism is providing answers to these pressing questions. The event will be held on Friday, April 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the MSU Center Detroit (3408 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201).
This is the first of SMSBF’s SB Round Table events, which are designed to convene local thought leaders and others for the purpose of exploring opportunities to grow triple bottom line businesses. The inaugural event will delve into the localism movement and what it means for business. This is your opportunity to engage in the conversation and get a glimpse at what’s shaping the future.
If you’re interested in understanding how localism provides the framework for sustainable business and the building-up of a local, diverse and resilient economy, this is the event for you. We look forward to seeing local business owners, business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators and anyone else interested in learning about localism and what it means for business.
