Wendy S. Schlett

Ms. Wendy S. Schlett, Vice President, Sustainable Research Group is a senior sustainability practitioner with over twenty years of experience in the environmental and sustainable consulting fields. She received her bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology from Western Michigan University and a Certificate in Sustainable Business from Aquinas College.
Ms. Schlett’s broad experience began with hydrogeologic investigations, remediation, and due diligence and expanded into environmental management system training, implementation and restructuring to improve environmental performance and integrate sustainability initiatives. Ms. Schlett is currently putting her passion for sustainability into practice by assisting manufacturers, non-profits, and mining companies in identifying and prioritizing risk and implementing sustainability and environmental business standards.
She facilitates leadership, diverse internal and external stakeholders, and management within an organization to collaboratively develop effective sustainability management systems across diverse program areas within manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations. She also conducts ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Internal Audits for manufactures. She is an observing member of the ANSI/NSC 373 Sustainability Assessment for Natural Dimension Stone Standard and participates in the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard chemical committee.
